What a treat to be asked to help the lovely people at Slaithwaite Moonraking Festival promote their Moonshine Festival of Illuminated Window Art in February 2022. I have loved, loved, loved Moonraking since I first arrived in West Yorkshire in 2014.

The Moonshine Festival of Illuminated Window Art was how the Moonraking festival responded to the Covid pandemic . In 2021 and 2022 they couldn’t run their usual festival with lantern making , storytelling, music and fireworks. They came up with this lovely plan to illuminate the village in the dark nights of February for a few days. My kids and I loved walking round the village looking at the window art and we can’t wait to be part of the full Moonraking Festival when it returns.
